Work for IKEA
IKEA - Year 12 Challenge - Calling all
Media and Performance Students
What is happening?
The Skills Service and Ikea are
proud to be working together to provide all Year 12 Media, Drama and
Performance Students in the city the opportunity to work on a real life video
project.
The Challenge
We are looking for media
students with creative drive to head up the project. You will be liaising with
the Health and Safety team at IKEA and will work with a number of Co-workers
from different parts of the business who will support and take part in the
production of new videos for our site in Fletton.
What’s in it for you?
Obviously the first thing is
the chance to use your skills be it in direction, camera work, scripting or
editing function plus the opportunity to understand real business and work with
a successful multinational retail organisation.
The final video/medial
productions will be showcased at a yet to be confirmed event and a panel will
judge the winning production.
There will be prizes for the
college/school who decide to take on this challenge. All of your work will form
part of the IKEA ongoing training program and you never know you may even get
future involvement with IKEA, it will certainly be a good addition to your CV.
Teams
Team sizes can be any size, the
initial briefing will take place at the Ikea Distribution Centre, further
meetings can be set for the students along the way, so we need to make sure
that as a school you can commit to transporting the team.
What is the time period?
Students will have until the
end of the academic year to complete their entry.
How do we sign up?
